Why Make This Lemon Honey Dressing

This Lemon Honey Dressing is SO easy to whip up for any occasion. Dress it over salads, marinate meat with it, or use is as a dip with Chicken Tenders. No need to waste money on pre made dressings when you can whip your own up in minutes. Making the dressing at home not only makes it more affordable, you get to control what goes in it. No artificial ingredients necessary.

This dressing is healthy, made with staple ingredients you most likely have on hand already. It hits the spot with citrusy sweet flavors. You can customize it in a few ways. Regardless you can’t go wring! I know you are going to love it.

Ingredients Needed

Ingredients needed to make this lemon honey dressing.

Lemons. Fresh lemons are a MUST for this recipe. The zest and the juice will be used.

Oil. Use a neutral extra virgin olive oil for the best flavor.

Seasonings. Red Pepper Flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, dried basil.

Honey. Honey is a main ingredient! To make it vegan, use maple syrup.

Fresh Parsley. Fresh parsley is used as a fresh pop of color/garnish to the dressing. If you aren’t using the dressing right away, omit.

Optional. Dijon mustard or mayonnaise to make it a little creamier for serving. This is optional.

Recipe Variations & Substitutions

Olive Oil. Avocado oil will work as a substitute for olive oil.

Honey. Maple syrup would make a great substitute.

Recipe Tips

Taste As You Go. Be sure to taste the dressing! It’s easy to customize it. Make it sweeter with more honey, make it less thick with 1 Tbsp of water, add more salt or garlic powder as needed.

Make It Creamier! I highly recommend adding 1-2 teaspoons of dijon mustard or mayonnaise to make the dressing more creamy. It’s great both with and without but we love to add the creaminess to it for an extra savory twist.
