Cottage Cheese with Scrambled Eggs is a creamy, protein loaded breakfast of champions. It’s easy, and incredibly delicious. If you haven’t tried adding cottage cheese to your scrambled eggs, get ready to be HOOKED. We love to add it for a little more protein and creaminess without changing the texture of the eggs (it actually makes the texture even better!)
Why Make Cottage Cheese with Scrambled Eggs
This is such an unexpectedly delicious combination. Cottage cheese is very mild in flavor but it has lots of protein. Adding it to your scrambled eggs will keep you fuller for longer and you won’t regret it.
- Easy To Make.
- Quick! Ready in 10 minutes.
- Delicious.
- Healthy! With extra protein you can bet you are getting your good fats and loads of nutrients.
Ingredient Notes
All other ingredients and measurements can be found in the recipe card towards the bottom of this post.
- Eggs. Use any brand of choice. Also try my Egg in A Hole Bagels.
- Cottage Cheese. I like to use full fat cottage cheese for a creamy texture.
- Seasonings. Salt, pepper is a must but also dried chives, garlic powder (any variation of your liking will work here!)
- Butter. This is for the pan, you can also use olive oil.
- Green Onions. Just for a little flavor and color. This is optional.
Steps To Make This Recipe
Step One. In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, cottage cheese and seasonings. Whisk well.
Step Two. Grab a non-stick skillet, add the butter or oil and heat to medium heat (careful not to make the pan too hot!) Slowly pour the egg mix into the skillet.
Step Three. Using a rubber spatula (or any spatula) slowly stir the eggs to allow them to evenly cook throughout to your liking. I like my eggs medium which is about 5-6 minutes.
Step Three. Take the eggs off the heat and serve immediately. Garnish with chopped green onions.

I love to serve it with my Chicken Hashbrown Casserole (yum!). Yogurt Strawberry Muffins would also be great as a side.

Yes, you can use low fat cottage cheese if needed, but I do prefer the full fat for extra flavor.
