Protein packed BLT Chicken Salad is a crowd favorite. Crispy bacon, creamy ranch flavored sauce and avocado mixed throughout. A top tier lunch for the week. This chicken salad is easy to make, comes together in minutes and will keep you smiling with each bite.

Why Make This BLT Chicken Salad
Chicken Salad is a summer staple in my house. It makes for a great snack, quick sandwich or lettuce wrap or scooped right out of the tub with a fork. The salty crisp bacon pairs beautifully with the lean chicken breasts.
- Easy to Make. If you use rotisserie and already cooked bacon, this recipe comes together in minutes.
- Low Carb. This recipe is naturally low carb friendly! If you aren’t worried about the carbs, try my BLT Pasta Salad for a more hearty twist.
- Meal Prep Friendly. Thanks to the lemon, it keeps fresh for 3 days in the fridge.
- Customize it! Use plain greek yogurt or sour cream among several other customizable add ins to make it your “own”.
Ingredients Needed

All other ingredients and measurements can be found in the recipe card towards the bottom of this post.
- Rotisserie Chicken. I prefer to use rotisserie chicken to make things easy, however you can certainly make your own chicken.
- Cooked Bacon. Use turkey bacon if desired.
- Red Onions. Green or yellow onions will also work.
- Tomatoes. I like to use cherry tomatoes, they hold up the best in this salad.
- Avocado. The perfect creaminess.
- Shredded Romaine. Add the best crunch and color to the BLT chicken salad.
- Mayonnaise. I love mayo for this recipe but sour cream or plain greek yogurt works as a great alternative.
- Lemon Juice. Fresh lemon juice is used for the dressing, It ass freshness and helps keep the avocado from browning.
- Ranch Seasoning. Use any brand you desire for this!
- Fresh Dill. This adds some extra ranch flavor and serves as a great garnish.

What To Serve With BLT Chicken Salad
This is a wonderful filling lunch on it’s own or as a sandwich but I do have a few fun sides to serve with it to make it more of a meal!
- Dill Pickle Potato Salad, Italian Pasta Salad, Parmesan Smashed Potatoes all make for a great side with this BLT Chicken Salad.
Recipe Tips
- Make things quicker with using rotisserie chicken but you can also make your own chicken breasts and shred them yourself to cut back on salt.
- Taste the dressing before serving over the salad. You may want to add sone more ranch seasoning or lemon juice.
- Make it healthier! Sub the mayonnaise for plain greek yogurt to make this recipe more calorie friendly.
