Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix
This peach cobbler with cake mix combines juicy peaches, a buttery topping, and cinnamon for a delightful dessert that everyone will love.

- 2 15 oz cans sliced peaches, no sugar added half drained! or 7 fresh peaches peeled and sliced
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp butter melted
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar or ¼ cup for a sweeter treat
- 1 13.25 oz box yellow/vanilla cake mix
- 8 Tbsp butter unsalted and melted
- vanilla ice cream for serving optional
Heat oven to 350º F.
If using canned peaches, drain half of the juice out of both cans. Add the peaches into a bowl along with 1 Tbsp melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and cornstarch. Fold to combine, then add to a greased 8×10 -inch baking dish. A large cast iron will also work.
Add the dry cake mix to a large bowl, add the 8 Tbsp melted butter. Mix well until it forms a crumbly batter. Spread the cake mix over the peaches, leaving bits of the peaches showing through.
Bake 40- 45 minutes, or until the cake crumble is lightly browned and the peach mix is bubbly.

- Sprinkle the cake mix with extra cinnamon and brown sugar to add more flavor.

- Check for doneness at around the 35-minute mark to make sure it doesn’t overcook. Cook just until the top is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbly.
