Equipment

  • medium sized sauce pan
  • 7x7 baking dish or similar size

Ingredients

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter, well stirred
  • ½ cup honey
  • cup s cheerios *see notes
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp avocado oil

Instructions

  • Add honey, oil and peanut butter to a medium size sauce pan. Stir the mixture over low heat. Once the mix is warm, and just beginning to bubble a small bit remove it from heat.
  • Pour in cheerios (or any cereal) and mix well with a spatula. In a parchment lined 7x7 or similar size dish, firmly press the cereal mix down into the dish. The smaller the dish the thicker the bars, if it's a bigger dish they will just be slightly thinner. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • Once they are chilled and sticking together firmly, pop them out of the dish and slice into bars. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use any cereal you love! Fruit loops, or cocoa puffs will also work great.
  • Add ins. You can add in m&ms or chopped peanuts, even mini chocolate chips make a great add!
  • Almond butter will also work well. If you need to change it up for allergies.
  • Do not burn the peanut butter. It just needs to warm up enough to mix well with the honey.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
