Margherita Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp crushed, dried oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • cup fresh mozzarella
  • 1 vine ripe tomato
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  • Set oven to 375º. While the oven is warming, mix the seasonings together in a small bowl. Lay flatbread onto a cooking sheet. brush the breads with olive oil then evenly sprinkle the seasoning on the bread. Add the minced garlic. 
  • Add the fresh Mozzarella and the tomatoes evenly to the breads. Place on center rack in the oven and bake for 10 -15 minutes or until cheese is melted, bubbly and the flatbread starts to brown. 
  • Let the Margherita flatbread cool for about 1 minute. Add the fresh basil leaves and generously drizzle the balsamic glaze. Slice with a pizza cutter and enjoy!
