Cookies and Cream Rice Krispie
The only thing better than a classic rice krispie treat? Rice Krispies with Oreo cookies! They are easy, can be made vegan and will please your family and friends. Ready in under 20 minutes.

- 5 tbsp salted butter *see notes
- 4 cups mini marshmallows *see notes
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tbsp maple syrup
- 1½ cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 5 cups rice krispie cereal
In a large pot (6 quart), melt the butter on medium/low heat. Add in the mini marshmallows or marshmallow fluff followed by the vanilla and maple syrup. One everything has melted together, turn heat to low.
Crush up Oreo cookies in hands over the pot, add to the marshmallow mix. Mix well and stir in rice krispie cereal. Mix well. Turn heat off.
Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Add the entire mix to the square dish. Lightly press down all the mix so it reaches every corner. Be careful to not press too hard, the harder you pack the treat mix, the harder it will be to bite through when serving!
Pop into the fridge for about 10 minutes or up to 24 hours before slicing and serving.
*vegan butter will also work for this!
*if using fluff, use 2 1/2 cups
