Shrimp Tortellini (Fra Diavolo)
This Shrimp Tortellini in red sauce is a little spicy, garlicky and flat out delicious. A symphony of flavor with pillows of cheese tortellinis.

- 1½ lb raw shrimp *peeled and cleaned
- 1 tsp crushed, dried oregano
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp crushed red pepper *more if you like it spicer
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves
- ½ cup chopped white onion
- 1 tbsp capers
- 2 -2½ cup marinara
- 20 oz pre-prepared tortellini
- 2 cup fresh spinach
- 2 tbsp fresh, chopped parsley
- 4 tbsp fresh parmesan optional!
Prepare tortellini according to package. Typically cooked in boiled water for a few short minutes.
Add salt, pepper and oregano to the raw cleaned shrimp in a medium bowl, mix well. Finely chop garlic and onion. In a large skillet, add olive oil and set stove to medium/high heat. Add in garlic, onions, red pepper flakes, capers sauté for about 3 minutes. Add in the shrimp and pour marinara over everything.
Let the marinara come to a small simmering, let it bubble for about 4 minutes, stirring often until the shrimp is fully cooked. Add in the fresh spinach, warm tortellini and stir well for about 2 minutes. Turn the heat off and serve. Add fresh parsley and optional parmesan.
*cooked shrimp will also work just shorten the time
*best served fresh, but will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
