Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American
Servings: 4

Equipment

  • rimmed baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 12-16 slider rolls
  • 1 lb deli roast beef thinly sliced
  • 10-12 Provolone slices
  • thinly sliced onion optional

Mayo Horseradish

  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1-2 tsp Horseradish or creamy horseradish

Butter Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven on 375º. Carefully slice the sliders in half as evenly as possible. Place some parchment on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Lay the bottom "sheet" of the sliders on the parchment paper. In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, dijon, horseradish. Mix well, give it a taste. Add more mayo or more horseradish as needed.
  • Brush the sliders. Brush half the sauce on the bottom of the sliders and crush the other half on the tops of the sliders.
  • Build the sliders! Start with the roast beef, feel free to chop it up for easier serving, but this is optional. Add onions, provolone slices.
  • Add the sheet of "tops" of the sliders. In a medium bowl, add melted butter, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish (if using some extra). Brush the tops of the sliders well.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven, then let sit for 5 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board, then use a serrated knife to cut sliders apart.

Notes

  • If the sliders are not cutting easily, try letting them sit out for just a few minutes, it will help make them less "fresh" and therefore less sticky.
  • Chop the roast beef. You can chop up the roast beef deli meat before placing it on the sliders to make for an easier cut/serve.
  • Taste as you go! You may want more horseradish or more Worcestershire.
  • Don't overcook the sliders! They just need to brown up and soak up the flavorful butter mix.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can freeze these for up to 2 months.
