5 Ingredient Almond Butter Energy Balls
These energy balls are full of healthy fats and protein and have only 5 ingredients. They taste like dessert and will leave you feeling satisfied before or after a workout. They are also great for a mid-day pick me up snack!
Servings: 8 Balls
- 1 ½ cup almond butter
- 1 tsp melted coconut oil Only add if your almond butter is on the dry side
- 6 dates
- 1/4 cup protein powder I use this protein but use any brand you prefer. If you don't have protein powder use coconut flour instead
- 3 tbs hemp hearts
- pinch of sea salt
Soak dates in hot water for a few minutes and then chop. Toss all ingredient (except kosher salt) into a vitamin or blender and mix together. If mixing by hand chop dates up very small so they are equally spread throughout.
Scoop out portions with an ice cream scoop and roll together into equal size balls. place on parchment paper on a plate. sprinkle with kosher salt lightly. move to a storage container and keep in the fridge. Balls will keep in the fridge for over a week.
